~ Month #1 "Pretty Pennies"

Pennies are wool shapes originally cut using a coin as a template for their shape and size.   Stitchers would cut pennies from old wool clothing or other wool scrap fabric. Pennies were stacked and a  Blanket Stitch was used to finish the edges. It’s a wonderful project to perfect your Blanket Stitch.

~ Month #2 "Freedom"

This design celebrates our freedom as American citizens. This stylized flag and star flowers are easy to stitch and the results sparkle! The star buttons are included in the project pack.

~ Month #3 "Bee Happy"

They say that when a Bee appears in your life, the most common message it carries has to do with your levels of productivity. Sometimes we are doing too much, and in others not enough. The Bee reminds us of the importance of stopping to smell  the flowers.

~ Month #4 "Orange Peel"

The Orange Peel is a traditional quilt applique block that goes way back. A pattern of repeating petal shapes create the effect of interlocking circles. I’ve also heard this call Wine Glasses.

~ Month #5 "Windy"

After a long hot summer I look forward to the cool autumn breeze and colored leaves that bring us to the  harvest season. I titled this month’s Flip Card Windy for obvious reasons.

~ Month #6 "Poinsettia"

The holiday season is coming quickly! Stitch up these beautiful Poinsettia Flowers for your celebrations and to brighten those winter days.
